September 2014 - Unschooling Kindergarten

These are some of the fun things we have been learning with Caleb this September, when Caleb turned six years old!

9/10/14 - Bug Mainea at the Maine State Museum; Lego building with Daddy
9/11/14 - Tomato harvest; Lego Movie and Marvel DS games
9/12/14 - Little Howler (Wild Kratts)
9/13/14 - Fall books; Raptors (Wild Kratts); Lego documentary; creating a spooky house with Mama; pirate sticker scene
9/14/14 - Creation story; creating rainbow ocean picture in Sunday School; harvesting herbs with Mama; nature walk
9/15/14 - Learning about funerals; Abram's Move story; reading Lego Ninjago graphic novel and learning about fonts (like how to tell when characters are yelling)
9/16/14 - Imaginative play with pirate and castle sets; imitation game at Scout meeting; learning about invasive species; creating his own superhero character, Light Man!
9/17/14 - Creating 3D Big Ben like we saw when we were in England; more tomato harvest and helping Daddy with canning
9/18/14 - Creating sticker pad scenes 
9/19/14 - First day of the Common Ground Fair - solar prints and fans
9/20/14 - Second day of Common Ground Fair - visiting animals, spending time with Helen and Baby Emily
9/21/14 - Learning about the President and the Secret Service, and imaginative play with this theme
9/22/14 - Playing restaurant,;practicing with fire ladder with Daddy
9/23/14 - Playground with Grace; potato harvest, Georgie and Bluenose books
9/24/14 - Scout meeting; Moses story
9/25/14 - Rhyming; Moses story
9/26/14 - Playground; grocery shopping and meal delivery to needy family
9/27/14 - Boat trip in Camden with Mama - touching lobsters and starfish, driving the boat; rescuing a turtle on the way home and learning about reptiles and being cold-blooded
9/28/14 - Serving food for coffee hour at church, including helping with food preparation and getting table ready; popcorn sale at Marden's for Scouts
9/29/14 - Turtle rescue game
9/30/14 - Completed Lego Movie police set, acted out Batman story
