Keeping up with Caleb...

Caleb is a busy boy! He had a nice long visit from Nana and Grampy last week and was dedicated at church...it is so wonderful to welcome him into our community of faith and share this gift with those who have been so helpful and supportive of us.

Caleb loves other kids and is fascinated with watching their every move. Sometimes he is so excited to see his friends that he shakes! Here he is at Alek's birthday party back in November, and with Cora from church.

He really likes taking baths in the big tub with Mama...

He's also trying foods, which is huge! He really likes it. Every time he sees a spoon, his eyes get really wide in anticipation. He's had avocado, pears, and peas so far...he's teething, so frozen pear puree in a little mesh teether bag has been a big hit. Also likes to chew on whole carrots - I think we better plant a garden this year!

He can sit up by himself now for a few seconds, and he loves his new little red wagon. Here he is modeling his new "Pajamoose".

Caleb loves having Daddy home so much - one of the hidden blessings of unemployment, you could say. Jonathan will be doing some temp. work for the 2010 census while he continues job-hunting for something more long-term, so watch for him to come knocking on your door with a survey any day now!

Nana and Grampy babysat so Jonathan and I could go out on our first real date since baby came...it was so, so nice! We had a great time at the Melting Pot. Here we are - and here's our chocolate dessert fondue. YUM. We are feeling inspired to have more fondue at home now!

We are doing more and more videos of the little man now...here's one of his first experience with avocado (a drama) and one of him finding the word "pudding" very amusing (comedy).

We can now see the first shoots of tulips coming up in our flower bed where we planted bulbs right after Caleb was born last year...hard to believe how much time has gone by. There will be much more to see and show as spring comes to Rockport, so stay tuned!
