Happy fall...

This has been a big week! Jonathan got home a few days early from his business trip (much to my relief!) and we have packed the time full of more firsts. Caleb had his first bottle (loved it!) and first ride in the Baby Bjorn. He seems to like being up on our level.

He is also smiling a lot more this week when we smile and talk to him, but it is hard to capture on film. We have some glimpses of it here, but it's way cuter in person!

Today we went to Russell Orchards for apple picking. Here's our little punkin! He loves the outdoors already. He especially liked driving the tractor and breaking in his LL Bean booties.

We also went to meet our new friend Levi - he's Jeff and Lisa's little boy and just a few weeks younger than Caleb. Destined to be great friends!

So many firsts...

We are having a hard time keeping up with this little guy already and he's only 5 weeks old! Here are some more pictures of his firsts:

First Bath: He looked a little shocked and suprised, but seemed to enjoy it. Of course, he peed all over his mom before we were done!

First walk with Mom and Dad: Caleb hates being in his carseat but does love being outside, so we try to take a walk every day, especially with all the beautiful fall colors to check out.

First binky: Caleb will only take the binky if everything else is perfect - clean dipe, full tummy, all wrapped up tight.

First visit from Caleb's Canadian relatives: Jonathan's mother Barb, grandmother Marion, Aunt Marge, and brother Matt and his wife Erin came for Canadian Thanksgiving weekend! It was a full house! Caleb had a lot of smiles for his Oma and everyone else too. Here he is playing his first game of cards and on his first visit to Wingaersheek Beach (mom and dad's first visit there too!)

First month picture: These are Caleb's four-week pictures. He gets cuter every day!

To Houlton we will go...a bit of week two

Nap with mom...

Handsome guy!

When Caleb was nine days old, we packed him up and headed six hours north to Houlton for great-grammy Woodworth's 80th birthday party. It was a long ride but he handled it like a trooper - not sure if I can say as much for Mom and Dad!
My first Starbucks on the ride home!
Big sneeze!

Grammy Woodworth was very surprised to see him! Caleb also got to meet his great-aunts Maxine, Cindy, and Paula, and extended family Debby, Carolyn, Jennifer, and Ashley.

He also had his first Houlton Farms Dairy ice cream - yum!

Some of these pictures weren't the best because we pulled them off a photo website, but you get the idea.
Nana and Grampy love to see Caleb too!

One week old!

We have had a very busy first week. Here's Mom with the placenta print that we made with Caleb's placenta - a beautiful way to remember how he was nourished inside me for nine months.

Caleb's tiny feet and hands!

Some of our first visitors - Jenna with baby Cora, and Kellie and Justin with Addison!
Here's Caleb in his snuggle nest next to Daddy - he loves being close to us!
This is Caleb's hearing test...He passed with flying colors!
Here's Caleb with Aunty Rose! They have lots of fun together.

Time is flying by! Caleb is getting quite settled in with us. For his one week birthday, we took his first walk on the beach here in Rockport, the same one where we did our maternity photos. He didn't notice much about the beach, but Jon and I sure appreciated being out in the fresh air again!
