Sooooo big!

We can't believe how much Caleb is growing and changing each day. It sounds cliche, but it's true! He had his two month check up, and he's now 24" and over 11 pounds - he's a two-footer! He's quite long and lanky. It's gotten really cold now, so we are staying in more and playing with toys and books. Caleb discovered the mobile above his swing. He has a mobile above his play mat and it winds up and plays music; as soon as the music and movement stops, Caleb fusses; when we wind it up again, he has a big grin to thank us! He's also able to discover and chew on his hands more and more, and it's nice to see him able to pacify himself a bit.

We had a little Christmas card photo shoot - Caleb is too squirmy to get many good shots without a professional camera, but we got some nice face shots. And he loves his Santa hat - he's been a very good boy so far this year. We ordered his Christmas stocking so we'll be all ready for the big day.

He also helped his mom with the Christmas shoebox collection at church!

We went to have a game night with our friends Lisa and Jeff - their little guy Levi is just a few weeks younger than Caleb, and they're destined to be buddies! Here Caleb is trying to comfort Levi, who wasn't so impressed at having to share his swing.

Sleep continues to be very important...with Jonathan home for a few weeks, we have been working on getting Caleb into a better sleep routine, which makes everyone happier!

Two months old!

Time is flying by!
Caleb is taking a little snooze in the sling so I am bouncing my legs to keep him happily asleep long enough to post some new pictures.

Naps with Mama and Daddy - we all like to sleep as often as we can these days!

Caleb's first bath in the tub without the newborn insert - he was a little freaked out at first but adjusted quickly and seemed to like it.

Auntie Jarah, daddy's sister, came to visit last weekend from Toronto, and we had lots of fun showing her around Rockport. She bounced Caleb all weekend long so Jonathan and I could have a break. Mmm...brussel sprouts!

Caleb has some new winter duds to keep him warm. He helped daddy plant winter bulbs one chilly afternoon.

Here are his two month old pictures! We can't believe how fast he's growing. His checkup and official weight check are later this week, but by our scale, he's over 11 pounds now - we'll see how accurate that is!

Caleb is doing SO much now! On his belly, he can push up on his arms and hold his head up - he likes to look in a little mirror we have propped up on the floor and smile at himself. He can also roll over from his belly to his back pretty regularly now. He loves the mobile that spins around above his play mat, and today he discovered that there are lots of other colorful toys to look at too!

Caleb is also smiling and laughing much more now, and is very social.
