Happy Birthday to me!

What a crazy week!
Jonathan is home for a week between jobs, so he is trying to get the baby's room all painted before he goes again. And mow the lawn too (his favorite thing!).
Today is my birthday! It was a long day at work, but I came home to lovely cards and presents from family - what fun!

Jonathan had my car detailed so it looks like new, on the inside anyway! And to top it all off, he made me an amazing gluten-free birthday cake! Baby and I approve. We had quite a bit, just to make sure it was good - and it was!

Stay tuned - there's always more to come!

Out and about around Rockport!

Last week Jonathan and I went for a stroll around Rockport. The weather is getting so beautiful - all the leaves are unfurling and flowers are popping up.
The downtown ended up being quite busy for this time of year, due to the filming of Sandra Bullock's latest romantic comedy! They turned downtown Rockport into Sitka, Alaska, complete with totem poles and new storefronts.

The neck was pretty quiet and we got to sit and look at the ocean and watch a seagull fight with a fast food bag.

In other news, my belly is getting bigger and so is our collection of baby gear! Jonathan painted the baby's dresser blue and the walls are next...watch for updates! I am scouring yard sales for good stuff - love the yard sale weather!

Finally, we're unlocked!

Well, they finally unlocked our blog!
Lucky us, we were chosen for a random security review. Everything is ok, so we are back and playing catch up. We have lots to share!

We had a beautiful Easter. It was cold at the sunrise service but worth it for this view!

We also made some Easter eggs to spiff up our kitchen.

Melinda's belly is growing leaps and bounds. Today we are officially 20 weeks along! We've made it halfway. Here she is with the handmade sock monkey that Auntie Jarah made for us (Jonathan's sister up in Toronto).

Last weekend, Mel's family came to visit and we had our ultrasound - everything looks healthy, thank God! And, it's a boy!! See if you can figure out the pics. Some of them are taken from the bottom up, as if the baby was sitting on the camera, if that helps. Now if we could just think of some names...that must be why we have 20 weeks left. Our favorites are the ones of his little feet...or with his hand in his mouth...or the profiles shots...we just love them all!

It was great to have family here to bargain hunt for baby boy clothes, have a little birthday party for Nana at Auntie Rose's house, and enjoy Grampy's famous homemade fries.

We are starting to acquire baby clothes and other gear from our wonderful and generous friends and family, so we need to get on the ball and get organized. But we just want to be outside! It has been sunny and beautiful this week, and Jonathan has been working out in the yard every day. Mel even started taking walks after walk in the evening, so you know it must be pretty nice out if it's motivating enough to exercise!
Thanks for keeping up with our journey...please post so we know you were here!
